Boards/corporations: Congress leaders to hold talks with Kumaraswamy

January 08, 2019 10:29 pm | Updated 10:29 pm IST - Bengaluru

A day after Congress legislators lashed out at JD(S) on the appointment to boards and corporations, K.C. Venugopal, AICC general secretary in charge of Karnataka, on Tuesday told coordination panel chairman Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara to hold discussions with Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and resolve the imbroglio amicably. Though the Congress had submitted a list of 19 legislators to be nominated for boards and corporations, the Chief Minister cleared 14 names and withheld six without offering an explanation.

This has angered the Congress legislators. Mr. Parameshwara and Mr. Siddaramaiah are expected to call on Mr. Kumaraswamy and ask him to clear the names of the six legislators.
