BJP failed to fulfil promises: Madhu

As part of his campaigning for the Lok Sabha election, Madhu Bangarappa, JD(S) candidate for Shivamogga parliamentary seat addressed joint meetings of JD(S)-Congress activities in Shivamogga city on Wednesday.

Addressing a meeting at Ashoka Nagar, he said the BJP has failed to fulfil the promises it had made prior to the 2014 Lok Sabha election of bringing back black money stashed in foreign banks and creating two crore jobs per year. The youth will teach the BJP a lesson for its failure to respond to their woes, he said.

Addressing the gathering, K.B. Prasanna Kumar, former MLA, urged the activists of both parties to work with coordination to ensure the defeat of BJP.

R. Prasanna Kumar, MLC; R.M. Manjunatha Gowda, president, JD(S) district unit; and H.S. Sundaresh, president, Shivamogga District Congress Committee, attended the meeting.

Mr. Bangarappa addressed the workers of both parties at L.B.S. Nagar and at Gandhi Bazaar. He also visited the Shivamogga branch of Adichunchanagiri mutt at Sharavati Nagar locality and took blessings from seer Prasannanatha Swami.
