Bengaluru to Tumakuru MEMU service flagged off

The South Western Railways (SWR) on Friday introduced the first ever MEMU train service between Bengaluru to Tumakuru. G.S. Basavaraja, Member of Parliament, Tumakuru, flagged off the new service at Tumakuru railway station. 

As per the schedule fixed, Train No. 06576 Tumakuru – KSR Bengaluru MEMU Daily Special departs from Tumakuru at 11.15 a.m. to reach KSR Bengaluru at 1.25 p.m. every day. In the return direction, Train No. 06575 KSR Bengaluru – Tumakuru MEMU Special departs from KSR Bengaluru at  1.50 p.m.  to reach Tumakuru at 3.40 p.m. every day.

The train will stop at Kyathasandra, Hirehalli, Dobbaspet, Nidavanda, Muddalinganahalli, Dodbele, Bhairanayakanahalli, Gollahalli, Soladevanahalli, Chikbanavar, Yesvantpur and Malleswaram in both directions.

In a release, SWR stated that the train will have two motor cars and 14 trailing cars.
