Bengaluru school wins competition

Rashtriya Military School (RMS), Bengaluru, emerged overall champion at the four-day ‘Inter-Rashtriya Military Schools Pentangular Meet’ hosted by RMS, Belagavi, from October 13 to 16, even as the proceedings culminated on a thrilling note.

A total of five contingents, each consisting of 35 student cadets from Belagavi, Bengaluru, Chail (Himachal Pradesh), Dholpur and Ajmer (Rajasthan), had converged here to compete in various “stage” and “sports” events.

Closing ceremony

At the closing ceremony held on Friday evening, Brig. B.S. Aujla, Commander PC Wing, Belagavi, distributed the championship trophy and prizes to the winners and runners-up.

Officiating Principal Major Seema Mishra was present. RMS, Bengaluru, emerged overall champions when it secured four of the seven individual championship events and Belagavi RMS bagged three trophies to be runners up.

RMS, Bengaluru, bagged championship trophies in volleyball, football, on-the-spot-painting and cultural show. RMS, Belagavi won championship trophies in boxing, English debate and quiz.
