Four people were killed in a road accident near Kalmangi village in Sindhanur taluk, about 100 km from here, on Saturday.
Their names were given as Ravikiran Baburao (30), Tirumala Rao Venkateshwara Rao (27), Pratap Sambashivarao (25) and Vamshi Krishna (25), all belonging to Raichur.
While the former three died on the spot, Vamshi Krishna, who was critically injured, breathed his last at Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Sciences, Ballari.
Negligent driving
According to the police, the car heading towards Hubballi turned turtle. The police suspected that harsh and careless driving led to the accident. A case is registered in Turvihal police station.
