A Delhi court on Saturday granted interim bail to former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, her son Tejashwi Yadav and others in a money laundering case connected with the Railways-IRCTC hotels’ maintenance corruption case.
RJD chief Lalu Prasad is also an accused in the case but he could not appear as the Birsa Munda Jail in Ranchi, where Mr. Prasad is serving sentences in fodder scam cases, informed the court that he was not medically fit to travel. Granting bail to the other accused till November 19, special judge Arun Bhardwaj ordered arrangements to be made for the appearance of Mr. Prasad through video conferencing on November 19, the next date of hearing.
The court had earlier granted regular bail to all the accused, except Mr. Prasad, in the corruption case lodged by the CBI. The accused also surrendered their passports to the court. Rabri Devi informed the court that she did not have a passport.
