As India and Pakistan talks gain momentum, a Hurriyat delegation met Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit in New Delhi on Monday, four months after a similar meeting led to the cancellation of the National Security Advisors (NSA) level meeting between the two countries.

A Hurriyat delegation, sent by chairman Syed Ali Geelani, met the Pakistan High Commissioner for an hour and a half.

“A detailed discussed over the recent meeting of Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and Pakistan rulers on the occasion of ‘Heart of Asia’ Conference in Islamabad was held as also the Kashmir policy there,” said Hurriyat spokesman Ayaz Akbar.

Mr. Geelani’s close associate Peer Saifullah and Hurryat’s chief organizer Altaf Ahmad Shah led the separatist delegation.

The delegation also enquired about the health of the Srinagar-based Editor, Shujaat Bukhari, admitted in AIIMS.
