After the initial confusion following the collapse of the building, people ran helter-skelter and there was utter confusion. This was worsened furthermore when the electricity went off. Soon after, the locals came together and started pulling out those injured stuck under the debris. Photo: PTI
Fire tenders could not enter the building collapse site as the by-lanes were too congested. Eventually a team of more than 30 people reached the site on foot carrying hydraulic cutters, portable lights, generators and other rescue equipment.
