The Bharatiya Janata Party is set to launch its month-long Maha Jansampark Abhiyan on Wednesday. During this campaign, the BJP aims to connect with 1,000 notable individuals from each Lok Sabha constituency.

It plans to reach out to 80 crore people in the country in a month, and around 227 leaders, including Union Ministers, party functionaries, and State-level leaders, will participate in the drive.

The party’s national general secretary Vinod Tawde on Tuesday said that the initiative will commence on May 31 and conclude on June 30, and they have compiled a roster of 1,000 persons from every Lok Sabha constituency across the country, who are distinguished by the receipt of civilian awards like Padma awards or the President’s medals during their service.

“As there are 543 seats in Lok Sabha, the cumulative figure comes to 5.5 lakh people in the country, who will receive visits from the BJP’s Union Ministers or senior party members as part of our outreach campaign,” Mr. Tawde said. He added that the visits will focus on the achievements of the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last nine years.

The BJP leader said that they will also apprise people about various developmental works undertaken or completed in the respective Lok Sabha constituency. Public meetings will be held near completed projects, such as highways and railway stations among others.

“Our elected representatives are instructed to spend the last 10 days of June in their constituencies and have interaction with people,” Mr. Tawade said.

According to him, Mr. Modi will participate in 12 public meetings/rallies in three to four constituencies, and other top leaders will take part in similar rallies.
