Bihar elections: No truck with SP, NCP: Left

The six Left parties who are jointly fighting the upcoming Bihar elections, said on Friday that they would not ally either with the Samajwadi Party or the National Congress Party to forge a third front.

“We’ve reached an agreement on 221 seats. Decision on the remaining 22 seats will be taken soon,” said Satya Narain Singh, the State secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI). Representatives of all the six parties — the CPI, the CPI-M, the CPI-ML, the Forward Bloc, the RSP and the SUCI (C) were present.
