The Lokpal Bill, introduced in Parliament last week, was referred to the Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice by Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari for scrutiny.

Three weeks' time

The committee, headed by Abhishek Manu Singhvi (Congress), has three months to submit its report, sources in Parliament said on Monday. Once it completes its work and reports back to Parliament, both Houses can, in all probability, take up the Bill for consideration during the winter session.
