Bhuvana Sai (13), a student of Std. VIII, exhibited that a fan could go to any extent to meet his or her idol in life.

An ardent fan of former Indian cricket team’s captain M.S. Dhoni, the boy shocked his parents by leaving his home on Tuesday morning.

In a letter, the budding cricketer urged his parents not to search for him or approach the police.

He wrote he was going to New Delhi for training and would return home after five years and requested his parents to stay in the same house till 2022.

He also wrote that he was determined to become a cricketer like MSD and win matches for India.

The boy had then reportedly boarded the Tirupati express.

The worried parents approached the city police, the Government Railway Police personnel and also the Railway Protection Force who circulated the photo of the boy in WhatsApp.

Luckily, a passenger sitting next to the boy identified him and alerted the RPF officials who boarded the train at the Samalkota Railway Station and took charge of him. Later, he was handed over to his father K. Santosh Kumar.
