Rs. 200 cr. sought for Thotapalli project

Former MLC and senior TDP leader Gorle Haribabu Naidu on Monday urged the government to complete the Thotapalli irrigation project at the earliest, so that the migration of farmers could be stopped. He also urged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to release Rs. 200 crore for the project, which could provide irrigation facility to more than 40,000 acres, apart from meeting the drinking water needs of several villages. Mr. Naidu also lauded schemes such as Chandranna Kanuka and enhancement of pensions for elderly people.
