A rowdy-sheeter P. Santosh Kumar was murdered allegedly by members of his rival gang at Ramakrishna Nagar under Malkapuram Police Station limits in the city on Wednesday night.
Santosh Kumar (21) was involved in many property offences and was released from the Central Prison recently.
Santosh had consumed liquor along with his friend and was walking home, when six persons, who were waiting for him on three motorcycles, stabbed him to death.
Police suspect old rivalry as the cause for the murder.
Malkapuram police registered a case and are investigating it.
