BJP senior leader Kavuri Sambhasiva Rao on Monday urged the government to tread with caution on the Rs. 1,300-cr. Godavari water diversion scheme. Addressing a media conference here, Mr. Rao raised apprehensions over the fate of the Godavari delta in the wake of the diversion scheme. He wanted the government to hold an all-party meeting involving experts on irrigation matters to steer clear of doubts over the irrigation interests of the Godavari delta region.
