The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has enabled a system to facilitate online payment of lease and rent into its account in the form of an application, which became operational on September 17.

Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal chaired a review meeting of the TTD’s Department of Information Technology here on Thursday.

He said that the application was developed and brought to use to facilitate payments by shopkeepers and hawkers at Tirumala. The new IT initiative will benefit 1,340 shopkeepers and hawkers at Tirumala, who need not visit the nearest bank, but make payments with a click of the mouse.

EO directive

Mr. Singhal directed the IT officials to streamline the Cottage Donors Management System for easy acceptance of donations and also sought devotee response on the online sale of ‘Arjitha Seva’ tickets in the local temples.

He also sought an asset management application for the supervision of hardware and software devices installed across departments in all the TTD buildings.

The IT wing was also told to develop an accommodation management system for Padmavathi Nilayam at Tiruchanur and the pilgrim amenities complex at Vontimitta, apart from a media management system to assess TTD news appearing in newspapers and channels.
