Panduranga Swamy temple EO found dead

He was suspended on Friday

Executive Officer of Sri Prasanna Panduranga Swamy temple, Beach Road, was found dead in Devasthanam office here on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Koppisetty Nageswara Rao (50), a resident of Pendurthy area of the city.

According to reports, Nageswara Rao, who was also an EO of a renowned temple at Pinagadi area in Pendurthy mandal, had faced allegations of sexual harassment. After conducting an inquiry, the Endowments Department has reportedly suspended him on Friday..

In the a note near his body, Nageswara Rao said that he was innocent. He sought job for his son.

Family members of Nageswara Rao blamed the Endowments Department officials for the death.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP-East) Annepu Narasimha Murthy said that following complaint from family members of Nageswara Rao, a case was registered at the III Town Police Station.

Investigation is on.
