Naidu seeks to explain absence at fete

Stating his inability to participate in the national committee’s discussions during Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary celebrations in New Delhi on Wednesday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in a letter, said that he would take part in the next round of deliberations of the committee. Mr. Naidu conveyed his thanks for the invitation extended on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and explained that he had to be present in the Cabinet meeting.
