More than 150 innovators from the country displayed their products at the Amaravati Mini Maker Faire here on Sunday.
Inaugurating the event organised by the A.P. State Council of Higher Education (AP-SCHE) and A.P Innovation Society (APIS), Minister for Law and Justice, Skill Development, Youth and Sports Kollu Ravindra said youth should focus on enhancing skills, which played a critical role in their careers.
Valuable contribution
Besides, by acquiring new skills and mastering them, youth could make a valuable contribution to the development of society, he said, adding that they should use the skill development centres set up by the State government.
Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said India was a repository of innovations thousands of years ago and a collective effort should be made to regain its lost glory in science and technology.
APIS CEO V. Valli Kumari said the event gave impetus to the State’s desire to enter the innovation landscape, and that drones and robots on display caught the attention of visitors.
Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan and Zilla Parishad chairperson Gadde Anuradha were present.
