Members at Forum for Development of North Andhra during a seminar on ‘comprehensive development of Vizianagaram – opportunities and setbacks’ organised at Z.P. Conference Hall on Sunday accused the State government of ‘denying opportunities to development the region’. “FDNA has been formed with an intention to give a push to intellectuals to create awareness among people to raise voice for their rightful share in the development. As long as we maintain silence over the neglect meted out to the region, the government will keep discriminate us,” said M.V.S. Sarma, MLC and vice-chairman of FDNA. “Thotapalli project has still remained incomplete for want of Rs. 200 crore but Pattiseema project was completed by spending over Rs. 1,300 crore. Mr. Naidu, who had promised comprehensive development of all 13 districts, is pooling all resources to the capital region,” he pointed out.
