The Election Commission authorities are preparing to serve a second notice of violation of the model code of conduct on Leader of Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for his remarks in Gospadu mandal on Thursday that “it is not wrong to hang N. Chandrababu Naidu”.

A fresh notice will be served on Mr. Jagan on receipt of an inquiry report from nodal officer Thippe Naik, Returning Officer for Nandyal constituency Prasanna Venkatesh told The Hindu on Friday.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jagan reiterated during a road show on Friday that “it is not wrong to hang people like Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu who utter lies and fail to keep up their promises.”

The District Collector confirmed that he has forwarded a report to Chief Electoral Officer recommending action against Mr. Jagan for his remarks made in a public meeting at Nandyal on August 3 “to gun down Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu”.
