Forest Minister Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy on Tuesday launched the distribution of LED bulbs at a function organised at Nagaiah Kalakshetram here.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the prime objective of the State government was to supply uninterrupted and quality power to the consumers.

Power conservation
Mr. Reddy appealed to the public to go in for power conservation by extensively using LED bulbs.
He said this would help in reducing pollution.
“In Chittoor district, by supplying LED bulbs worth over Rs. 16 crore, the government will be able to save over Rs 65 crore per annum,” he said.
SPDCL Chairman H.J. Dora said as many as 32 lakh bulbs were distributed in Guntur and Anantapur districts, and four lakh bulbs in Krishna district.
Chittoor Member of Parliament Siva Prasad, Chittoor Mayor Katari Anuradha, Joint Collector Bharat Narayan Gupta and others were present.
Earlier, Mr. Reddy took part in the Valmiki Maharshi Jayanthi Utsavams held at Ambedkar Bhavan here in the morning.
