Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu is expected to dedicate the Vamsadhara project to the nation on the Independence Day to be celebrated on Wednesday at the Government Degree College here, the official venue for the historic event. The district administration could ensure flow of water into the reservoir at Hiramandalam from the flood flow canal which was constructed to draw excess water during rainy season.

After successful testing on Tuesday morning, Minister for Transport K.Atchannaidu cut a cake at the R and B guest house and congratulated senior officials, including Collector K.Dhananjaya Reddy and Joint Collector K.V.N. Chakradhar Babu.

Rain threat

Meanwhile, continuous rain under the impact of low pressure became a major concern for the district administration. In spite of taking many preventive steps, the ground got damaged.

Meanwhile, SP C.M. Thrivikrama Varma reviewed the security arrangements at the R and B guest house where the CM would stay from Tuesday night.
