June 05, 2015 05:57 pm | Updated 05:57 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Former Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Botcha Satyanarayana has been suspended from the Congress party for alleged anti-party activities. Order to this effect was received by the office of the APCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy here.

The suspension comes days after the former Minister and senior Congress leader from north Coastal Andhra hinted at joining the YSR Congress party.

Sources said that Mr. Satyanarayana maintained that he had already sent his resignation letter to the AICC President Sonia Gandhi and the State Party chief three days ago.
