A late night prank call claiming that bombs had been planted on the premises of the Trupati railway station kept the railway police on their toes for close to five hours. According to railway police, they had received the call around 11.30 p.m. on Tuesday and the caller claimed that he had planed bombs at eight different places on the railway station premises. The call assumed significance in view of the devotee and VIPs rush in the temple city for the ongoing Navaratri Brahmotsavams. The cops immediately press into service the dog squad and bomb disposal squad and sterilized the entire compound. After the search operation ended at 5 a.m., the call was found to be a hoax. Police are making all efforts to nab the prankster.
