The BOB organised a two-day bottom up consultative process meeting following directions from the Ministry of Finance.

Addressing a press conference on its sidelines, Mr. Sivaiah said that the bank was giving priority to agriculture credit and retail lending. As a part of it, the app was being developed to extend the digital banking services to the farming community.

The bank was also focussing on increasing digital payments, and ensure ease of comforts to all its customers, he said.

Referring to the two-day programme, he said that branch heads from 118 branches attended the meeting. The meet focussed on the ways and means to increase credit to various sectors of the economy, enhance the use of technology to bring about innovation and enable big data analytics, and make banking citizen centric, he said.
