Bloopers galore in Andhra Pradesh Govt. sites

Kiran is still the CM and AP Fisheries site is a parking page for Chinese porn

March 24, 2014 11:11 pm | Updated November 17, 2021 04:25 am IST - HYDERABAD:

A month after resigning from office and starting his own party, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy continues to be the Chief Minister of the State! Not just that, his Cabinet is also intact!! This is a fact, at least in the virtual world, if one were to go by the information provided on the Government websites.

At a time when the State is going through the process of bifurcation with the general elections around the corner, the government department websites are a neglected lot.

Joint venture

One of the most widely-used government website, www.aponline.gov.in, is a joint venture of A.P Government and TCS.

If one were to click the option “Cabinet” on the right hand side of the page, then what appears is the photograph and names of former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy along with 35 of his former colleagues in the Council of Ministers.

In the Centre for Good Governance (CGG) website, the link to the Meetings Management System of the CM’s office continues to be active with the photo of Mr. Reddy. Similarly, on the website of the National Academy of Construction (NAC), Mr. Reddy continues to be the chairman of the governing body along with former Roads and Buildings Minister Pithani Satyanarayana as Vice-Chairman.

Not updated

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) too has failed to update its online information as former Municipal minister M.Maheedhar Reddy and former CM Mr. Reddy continue to be mentioned in the board of directors.

The official website of A.P Fisheries Department is mentioned as www.apfisheries.com in the official AP government portal. However, this website is a parking page for various Chinese porn and gambling websites.
