A man attacked his pregnant wife and child before committing suicide at his residence at Appanna Colony here on Wednesday.
Sathvik Kumar (35), a worker, went home for lunch and attacked his wife Mahalakshmi and two-year-old daughter with a knife before slashing his throat. Kumar died on the spot, while Mahalakshmi was shifted to Ruia Hospital and her daughter to a private hospital. Their condition is said to be serious. The police registered a case and investigation is on. The reason for the attack is not known immediately.
