MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar on Thursday gave away cheques with a face value of ₹45.9 lakh to 86 beneficiaries towards medical expenses.

The funds were sanctioned from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the medical expenses incurred by the beneficiaries undergoing treatment not coming under NTR Vaidyaseva scheme in private hospitals and for additional treatment after exhausting the limit.

In total, 730 persons have been benefited with money sanctioned from the CM’s Relief Fund in his constituency so far, he said.

The MLA said people in his constituency had got a total benefit of about ₹10 crore under the relief fund when compared to the ₹847.6 crore disbursed across the State during the 1,500 days of the TDP rule.

Mr. Ganesh Kumar urged patients to avail themselves of the dialysis facilities at the KGH. “If patients contact me through ‘Dial your MLA’ helpline or at ‘Praja Darbar’ , they will be referred to KGH for dialysis,” he said.
