Three weeks before the Akshay Kumar-starrer film Jolly LLB 2 is slated to be released, a petition has been filed in the Bombay High Court seeking deletion of the word “LLB” from the name of the movie.

On January 19, advocate Ajaykumar S. Waghmare moved the court stating that several scenes shown in the trailer of the film were a deliberate attempt to malign the “impeccable reputation of the Indian legal profession”. The characters in the movie were seen playing cards and dancing on court premises, the petition said.

It is likely to come up before a division bench of Justices V. M. Kanade and Sangitrao Patil on January 24.
