Both the Houses of Parliament saw repeated adjournments as Opposition confronted the Government on a range of issues, including MoS for Human Resource Development Ram Shankar Katheria's remark following a Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader’s murder in Agra.

In a bizzare scene, Both the ruling ruling and Oppostion filec privilege motions against each other. While Congress targetted HRD Minister Smriti Irani, BJP hit back in Lok Sabha by pressing for similar action against Jyotiraditya Scindia for “defamatory” remarks against Minister Bandaru Dattatreya.
