A temporary closure of airspace over Pakistan has led to flight cancellations, especially between Asia and Europe.

The Pakistani government closed the airspace on February 27, 2019 after saying its military shot down two Indian warplanes in Kashmir and captured a pilot, answering an airstrike the previous day by Indian fighter jets inside Pakistan.

Dozens of flights were cancelled from Bangkok airport. Bangkok airport officials said over 4,000 travellers were affected by the airspace closure.
