Schoolchildren formed a human chain and participated in a mini-marathon as part of the Vigilance Awareness Week -2019 celebrations led by Neyveli Lignite Corporation of India Limited (NLCIL).

T. Venkatasubramanian, Chief Vigilance Officer, NLCIL, flagged off the mini-marathon in the presence Rita Simon, Chief Manager, SBI, Neyveli Branch, which was co-host of the event.

In his address Mr. Venkatasubramanian, exhorted students and employees to internalise the value of integrity in life.

The mini-marathon, started from the Jambulinga Mudaliar statue near Double Bridge Block-17, Neyveli, and ended at Golden Jubilee Children’s Park at Main Bazaar, covering a distance of 2.5 km.

About 600 students from nine schools participated in this event carrying placards based on the theme “Integrity a way of Life”. Senior officials, executives’ employees and members of the public also participated.
