Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi on Saturday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

She described Mr. Modi as a man of destiny. Posting a photo of her meeting with Mr. Modi in a WhatsApp group, the Lt. Governor said: “With the ‘man Of destiny’ who is steering the destiny of Bharat/ India.”

In another message, Ms Bedi said she had called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Posting a photograph of her meeting with Mr. Shah, the L-G said: "Another ‘man of destiny’. Was truly at home with my Home Minister.”

Ms. Bedi said she had apprised the Union Home Minister the challenges faced by the Union Territory. “Talked of challenges before Puducherry. Priority being ensuring grass-roots democracy through conducting of panchayat elections, not held for last 10 years despite directions of the Supreme Court,” she said in a message to reporters.

The Lt. Governor had been camping in New Delhi for the last few days.
