The Students Federation of India (SFI) has urged Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy to follow the same fee structure for government and society-run colleges in the Union Territory.

In a memorandum submitted to Mr. Narayanasamy, S. Jayaprakash, president of SFI, said the government was adopting a separate fee structure for the society-run colleges when compared to the government colleges. The government should end the discrimination and follow the same fee structure for all colleges.

SFI has also demanded the Government to introduce new courses in Arts and Science Colleges and ensure 25 % reservation for students from the UT in admission to courses in Pondicherry University.
