Out of control

Four out of seven already were out of government control after they obtained deemed university status. Now if the remaining three colleges are given private university status, they would also go out of the control.

Mr. Siva said the Chief Minister N.Rangasamy had let down the student community by taking a decision to accord approval to the private medical colleges to become private universities.

Utter disregard

“Even after a minister at cabinet meeting pointed out that the decision was against the interests of the student community, Mr. Rangasamy went ahead with decision in utter disregard to the welfare of student community,” said Mr.Siva.

50 per cent seats
