AINRC will not come to power despite welfare schemes: AIADMK

June 17, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:43 am IST - PUDUCHERRY:

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, Puducherry Unit secretary P. Purushothaman on Tuesday said the ruling All India NR Congress would fail to come to power again even if it went on a spree of launching welfare schemes.

In a statement, Mr. Purushothaman said in the fifth year of the tenure, the AINRC has been pretending as if it has kept all its promises.

Some of the measures include implementation of old-age pension, free distribution of rice, mixers and grinders. Chief Minister N.Rangasamy has also been tom-toming that he has implemented promises within a month of announcement.

The AIADMK leader said the people well realised why the ruling government did not implement its promises for the last four years and was trying to paint a rosy picture now.

“People will see through such tactics. The proclamations of the AINRC Government are akin to worn-out paper flowers,” added Mr. Purushothaman.
