The AINRC is committed to getting full Statehood for Puducherry and all the welfare schemes that were in operation during its regime would be implemented if the party was voted back to power, the party founder and former Chief Minister N. Rangasamy has said.
He told reporters after unfurling the party flag on the eighth founding day of the party that people were now aspiring to have an AINRC government again.
To meet Modi
“Our efforts would continue to bring AINRC rule again in the Union Territory. Our concern is to ameliorate the lot of the people,” he said.
Mr. Rangasamy said he “would certainly meet” Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was expected to visit Puducherry at the end of this month to participate in the golden jubilee celebrations of the international township of Auroville.
He said would give his reply to the allegations made by Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy on irregularities against the previous government at an appropriate time.
