Nearly 30 meritorious teachers and staff of Chennai region were honoured

On the occasion of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan’s (KVS) Foundation Day celebration, regional incentive awards for the year 2016 were presented at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) Auditorium by Chennai region, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan on Wednesday.

Nearly 30 meritorious teachers and staff of Chennai region were honoured during the ceremony.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan identifies its meritorious teachers and staff in different areas and honours them at the regional as well as national level every year.

Along with the Regional Incentive and Experimentation awardees and National Incentive awardees were also felicitated on the occasion.

Presiding over the award presentation ceremony, JIPMER Director Subhash Chandra Parija presented the awards and citations to the selected teachers and staff. He urged the teachers to aim for sustained quality in every sphere of teaching.

S.M. Saleem, the Deputy Commissioner of KVS, Chennai region, welcomed the gathering. A brief cultural programme was presented by the students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, JIPMER campus, after the award presentation.

R. Senthil Kumar, Assistant Commissioner proposed the vote of thanks. KVS officers, principals of Kendriya Vidyalayas in the region, members of the awardees’ families, teachers and students of Kendriya Vidyalayas in the city were present.
