Indrani Mukerjea had told the manager of her residential building that Rahul Mukerjea should be barred from entering their house in Worli, on the day of the murder and after it.
The statement of Madhukar Kilje, manager of Marlow building where the Mukerjeas stayed, attached to the chargesheet, states that a day before the murder, Indrani requested him that “If Rahul Mukerjea comes to Marlow on April 24 [date of Sheena’s murder] and 25, 2012, he may not be allowed to visit her flat.”
It was two days after Sheena’s murder that Rahul came to the flat looking for her, but got no answers. Notably, in his statement Rahul has said that both Indrani and Peter tried to avoid him after he started getting inquisitive about Sheena’s “sudden disappearance.”
In her 15-page statement, Kajal Sharma, Indrani’s personal secretary has described Indrani’s every act of subterfuge to keep Sheena’s murder under wraps.
When asked to forge Sheena’s signature, Kajal told the police that she had questioned Indrani, who told her Sheena was in the USA and did not have internet facility. She said she had no option but to obey her boss. “After practising Sheena’s signature, I sent it to Indrani, who approved it and further instructed me to take a print out of the resignation letter and sign it on Sheena’s behalf and send it through a courier where CCTVs are not installed.”
Kajal has also stated that after she taught Shyamvar Rai to use Skype, Indrani and Rai had Skype chats. She had also booked the car used in the murder and also the flights tickets for the Mukerjea family as well as for Sanjeev Khanna. Her statement is corroborated by Worli-based car dealer Faizal Ahmed, who provided cars for the Mukerjea family.

The CBI will be carrying out a polygraph test in the next two days on former media baron Peter Mukerjea, who was grilled again on Friday in connection with the murder case of his step-daughter Sheena Bora, to verify claims made in his statements. CBI sources said the agency has received permission from a special court here to subject Peter to the test before his remand expires on Monday.
