MNS protests potholes in Navi Mumbai

Navi Mumbai: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) staged a protest at Turbhe on the Sion-Panvel Highway on Monday against potholes resurfacing due to rain.

Taking digs at the BJP-Shiv Sena ruling combine, they organised a ‘high jump competition’ into potholes; those who did well received either a lotus or a bow and an arrow. "We gave each pothole a Minister’s name: Eknath Shinde, Chandrakant Patil and Pravin Pote. We have put up a small board with the name on each pothole,” the party’s Navi Mumbai president Gajanan Kale said.

Mr Kale said he will file a case against Ministers if anyone loses their life due to potholes this year. ”One person has already died this year on the Sion-Panvel Highway. Last year, a constable died, but the situation is the same.”
