The Emmy and Golden Globe winning comedian Jerry Seinfeld is set to perform in India next month, marking his first ever performance in Asia.

The funny-man whose influential show Seinfeld was named “the greatest television show of all time”, will perform in Mumbai on March 14 and 15 at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium, NSCI, as a part of the ongoing Stage42 festival which is a showcase of talent and experiences in comedy, music, theatre and food.

In a statement issued to the media, Jerry Seinfeld is quoted as saying: “I have always been fascinated by India and its culture. I have great respect for its people and their way of life. It is a great honour for me to be invited to come there and make fun of it in person.”

Tickets to the Jerry Seinfeld are priced upwards at Rs.7,500 and will go on sale starting February 13 at 12 p.m.

Seinfeld’s latest project is critically-acclaimed web series ‘Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee’ which has garnered more than 10 million views.
