Biker dies on Sion-Panvel road

A 27-year-old man died after his bike fell into a pothole on Sion-Panvel road on Friday morning.

Sunny Vishwakarma (27), a resident of Ulwe, was on his way home along with his friend Kamlesh Yadav (29) from Nerul on another bike. On the stretch between SK Wheels and Hyundai in Sanpada, Vishwakarma fell off and died of head injuries on the spot. Mr. Yadav who rammed into Vishwakarma’s bike, suffered severe injuries.

“In case we find negligence on anyone’s part, we will register a case,” senior police inspector Suraj Padvi from Sanpada police station said.

Meanwhile, MNS workers have decided to meet the Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner to get a case of negligence registered against the contractor, the PWD engineer, and the minister.
