Light Fall, the fourth annual exhibition of photographs organised by the Calicut Photo Club, concluded here on Sunday. The exhibition held at the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi Art Gallery featured around 280 photographs by about 80 amateur photographers connected through a Facebook group.
The photographs are mostly on wildlife though there are a number of ones showcasing children and everyday life. Though most carry a positive message, some have absorbed life on the streets and the desperation of old age.
The age of the photographers range from seven to sixty years. Three of them are below 15 years of age.
The Calicut Photo Club (CPC) was founded in 2008 and has members from Kozhikode and outside. The group often shares online techniques for betterment of the craft and conducts group tours, discussions and classes for budding photographers.
