Entries called for Vanitharatnam award

Applications are invited for the ‘Vanitharatnam’ award for women who excel in the field of social welfare.

The awards are named after Rani Gouri Lakshmi Bhai, Akkamma Cheriyan, Lakshmi N. Menon, Kamala Suraiya, and Fathima Beevi who made their mark in the history of Kerala.

Candidates could be those who have excelled in administration, arts, literature, social work, science, health, or education.

They should explain their sphere of work and achievements in the applications which are to be submitted at the Kozhikode District Social Justice Office by July 5.

The award carries Rs.3 lakh.
