Official inspects Chennai Central

Ashok K. Agarwal, general manager of Southern Railway, visited Chennai Central railway station on Tuesday and inspected the facilities as part of the ongoing ‘Passenger and Customer Facilitation fortnight’, according to a press release.

Southern Railway has been observing this programme from 26 May 2015 to 9 June 2015.

He inspected the old concourse, ‘Food box’, renovated pay-and-use toilet, waiting halls and control room of the Integrated Security System. He also inspected the Moormarket complex suburban terminal and had interactions with passengers and sought their opinions and feedback.

Subsequently, Mr. Agrawal visited Chennai Egmore station and Emergency Medical Centre and second entry of the railway station, waiting hall, passenger amenities in platforms and retiring rooms.
