Aagaaz Theatre Trust’s Bhagi Hui Ladkiyan is a devised performance that brings alive real stories that address pertinent subjects like identity, caste, gender and sexuality in a manner that is powerful and participative. The performance features four Muslim teenage girls from Delhi's Hazrat Nizamuddin basti who share their everyday life stories with the audience. “Through the piece,” says its director Dhwani Vij, “we explore the relationship between the performers’ bodies and their homes vs the spaces outside.”
