The Metro Rail station that is located inside the CMBT Bus Terminus lacks sufficient signage to guide the passengers on where the station is located and the way to the various entrances of the station.

Simon Richard, from Dubai who landed in Bangalore and subsequently, took a bus to the city landed here at the CMBT Bus Terminus. There are a few entrances to the station but none of them has adequate signage giving directions to passengers. Mr. Richard said he had to take a long walk with the luggage as he struggled to find the entrance to the Metro Rail station.

“The bus could stop near the entrance of the station so that people with luggage need not walk for long. Or there could be a signage in the rear entrance of the station to guide commuters. I had to ask people, walk around and find this small entrance,” he added.

Also, there are no subways or skywalks outside the CMBT Bus Terminus for the people wanting to use the Metro Rail coming from Inner Ring Road.

Officials of Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) said they intended to add some more signage soon in all stations along Koyambedu-Alandur corridor. “We will install at least 15 directional signages in this corridor soon. But, there are no plans for subways or skywalks,” an official said.
