Chennai Metro has begun feeder services between Alandur Metro station and DLF in Porur on Monday, in a bid to improve last-mile connectivity for passengers.

A Tempo Traveller will run every 15 minutes from 6.30 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. between the station and DLF via Chennai Trade Centre and MIOT hospital; passengers will be charged a flat rate of ₹20.

These services will eventually be expanded to other stations.

Uma R. Krishnan of Barclays, who inaugurated this service said there are nearly 75,000 employees working in DLF and it will be greatly beneficial to them.

Only recently, Chennai Metro Rail had a tie-up with Infosys, wherein employees would be picked up from Alandur Metro station by an Infosys bus to the office.
