A mega awareness rally was conducted by city police personnel on Saturday to stress upon the importance of wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers.
Following instructions of the City Police Commissioner the campaign has been frequently conducted across the city. At the Rajarathinam Stadium, Deputy Commissioners of Police K. Soundararajan and R. Ravichandran flagged off the bike rally of 1,300 personnel, that went around Rukhmani Lakshmipathi Road, Pantheon Road and Ethiraj College Road .
